1980 is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans both digital and physical spaces.

His work explores the intersection of light, interactivity, human agency, and technological control. Through these themes, he examines how systems shape perception, behavior, and ownership in a connected world.

In the digital space, 1980 delves into dystopian narratives that examine human–machine interaction, surveillance, and on-chain technology, revealing the power dynamics embedded in modern communication systems.

In the physical world, his installations incorporate retro neon, LED systems, and technology-driven components to create immersive, experiential environments.

Guided by experimentation, 1980 merges art and technology to challenge traditional boundaries of how art is created, experienced, and owned.

His creative journey is rooted in a family heritage of musicians, painters, and wood crafters. Early experiences with soldering, painting, and illustration established the foundation for his hands-on approach to artmaking.

A true chameleon, 1980 draws from diverse subcultures he’s been part of, from graffiti and skateboarding to the light and space movement and the evolving world of on-chain art.
